Verdict Outcomes
Every renewal reminder asks one question: did you keep it or cancel it? Their answer goes back into these numbers — unfiltered.
What counts. Only hard verdicts feed the rate. WORTH IT means Net Value is greater than 10% of the Annual Fee — the card is earning its place. CANCEL means Net Value is below −10% of the Annual Fee — the fee is outrunning the value you use. WATCH IT means Net Value is within 10% of the Annual Fee — positive or negative. It's a close call to check again before renewal, and it's excluded here because it sits inside the band.
How we capture outcomes. Renewal-alert emails include one-click "I kept it" / "I cancelled it" buttons. The token in the email is the auth — no login required.
What this isn't. It's not whether the card was a good idea in the abstract — it's whether our verdict matched the cardholder's actual decision a year later. That's the only number that should move you.
